
Ian Mashiter
Ian Mashiter is currently the director of curriculum at Innovate@BU and a senior lecturer at Boston University's Questrom School of Business. Mr. Mashiter worked for nearly three decades as a technology entrepreneur and executive in the telecommunications sector, raising $100 million in venture funding since 1996. He is a member of the Hub Angel Group and the Launchpad Venture Group, as well as a Mass Challenge mentor and judge. Mr. Mashiter serves on the board of the Capital Network, a nonprofit organization that provides financial education to early-stage entrepreneurs in Boston.

Elizabeth Linardos, CPA
Elizabeth Linardos has more than 25 years of financial leadership experience in high growth organizations in the technology sector. Previously, she served as the CFO of Desktop Metal, Inc. where she oversaw its SPAC IPO that generated approximately $575 million in gross proceeds. Prior to joining Desktop Metal, Ms. Linardos held senior financial positions at Digital Lumens Inc, A123 Systems Inc, and Pegasystems Inc. She is a CPA and is a graduate of Bentley University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in accounting and a master’s degree in taxation.

Allan Cheng, PhD
Allan Cheng has been working in the intersection between business and technology for more than 20 years in senior positions, working both with private and public sector clients to drive growth, innovation, differentiation, and efficiency through the application of technology. He is involved in both corporate entrepreneurship and green-field startups. He is an alumnus of McKinsey & Company, Accenture, and IBM. He holds a PhD in Computer Science.

Thomas Marge is a founder and the Chief Executive Officer at inBalance.
He is an experienced statistician, having previously worked on identifying liquidity risk for Morgan Stanley. Since 2016, he has been working on using statistical techniques to improve renewable energy generation, optimizing production and minimizing costs in wind farms. He holds a BA and MSE in Applied Mathematics from Johns Hopkins University.

Ida Petajasoja is a policy analyst at inBalance. She has a background in Environmental Economics, International Environmental Law, and Energy, having led several projects for the World Conservation Monitoring Center, particularly concerning biodiversity mainstreaming.
Ida holds an MPhil in Environmental Policy and a BA in Land Economics from the University of Cambridge.

Dawn Woodard, PhD
Dawn Woodard is an experienced data scientist and statistician with a track record at the intersection of academic research and commercialization. Dr. Woodard is currently the Senior Director of Data Science at Uber, where she leads cross-functional teams to create core product technologies. Prior to joining Uber, Dr. Woodard was a tenured professor at Cornell University, where her research focused on forecasting and Machine Learning. She has also worked as a statistical consultant for TIBCO Software Inc. and Microsoft Research, including at the latter as a Visiting Researcher. She holds a PhD in statistics from Duke University.

Tim Healy
Tim Healy is an experienced CEO and entrepreneur with decades of expertise in both clean energy and scaling businesses from concept to billion dollar valuations. Mr. Healy co-founded EnerNOC in 2001 and served as its Chairman and CEO until its sale to Enel in 2017 for over $300M. Mr. Healy was a founding Board member of the Advanced Energy Economy (AEE) and the Northeast Clean Energy Council (NECEC), where he has served for the last thirteen years, and was appointed to the Mayor of Boston’s Green Ribbon Commission (GRC) in 2015. Mr. Healy holds a BA from Dartmouth College, and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Beth Richtman
Beth Richtman is an experienced sustainable investor and strategist, with a focus on innovative companies delivering impactful solutions. Ms. Richtman served as the first Managing Investment Director of Sustainable Investments for CalPERS, the largest pension fund in US, where she managed a $7 billion real assets portfolio. She also served as Director of Business Development for Enel Green Power North America, where she worked on various business and finance aspects of over 1600 MW of renewable power assets. Ms. Richtman is co-founder of Cyan Capital Partners. She holds a BS from Stanford University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Josh Weiss
Josh Weiss is an angel investor and board member for several early-stage high tech start-ups. Mr. Weiss brings decades of experience in tech companies focused on telecommunications and data networking, having previously served as founder and CEO of Nauticus Networks before its acquisition by Sun Microsystems. At Sun Microsystems, he served as vice president of the network systems group, overseeing a team of 400 engineers and a budget of $50 million. He also managed large-scale teams at Lucent Technologies after its acquisition of Prominet, which he co-founded. At Lucent, Mr. Weiss drove sales in excess of $120 million and led both engineering and finance divisions. Mr. Weiss holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MS in computer science.

Nathan Woodard, PhD
Nathan Woodard has extensive experience breaking technical barriers for bringing new technologies from R&D to commercial production. He presently serves as a Technical Fellow at Desktop Metal Inc., and is an Honorary Fellow at Silverside Detectors in Boston, where he also sits on the board of technical advisors. Dr. Woodard also serves as a technical advisor to Malachite Technologies Inc. in San Francisco. He also has significant experience in managing IP, having passed the patent bar exam in 2006 and actively prosecuted patents for over a decade. Dr. Woodard holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in Physics.

Jonathan Xue
Machine Learning Engineer
Jonathan Xue is a machine learning engineer at inBalance. He previously built deep learning models for the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Oxford, and worked on natural language processing tasks for an analytics startup. Jonathan holds an MSc in Mathematical and Theoretical Physics from the University of Oxford and a BSc in Theoretical Physics from UCL.

Peter Andreev
Computer Architect
Peter Andreev is a computer architect at inBalance. He has a wide range of interests, having variously worked on large-scale data analysis at a London hedge fund, studied gilts and inflation while working at BGC, and researched stellar collapse for the University of Cambridge’s Department of Mathematics. Peter holds an MMath in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge.

Elias Hatem is a development manager at inBalance. He is experienced in business development, having previously managed internal sales, project development and construction processes at Revision Energy, a developer and contractor of distributed energy resources in New England. Elias holds a BS in Management with concentrations in Information Systems and Business Analytics from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.
